Intro
Work
Let me introduce myself. I’m Jacob, and my goal as a writer is to reintroduce mystery and wonder into a polarized world that prefers absolutes. When we find ourselves awestruck, mystified, or confounded, we’re given an opportunity to lean in together and ponder. I’m convinced the world is full of questions and ambiguities that shouldn’t be avoided, but embraced. Dogma divides; thoughtful, questioning art unites.
I use writing, editing, and long-form conversation as ways of engaging questions that feel culturally and personally urgent, trusting that careful attention can turn private uncertainty into something generative for others. Across essays, podcast episodes, and research-driven projects, I return to themes of religious and political disorientation, the tension between curiosity and dogmatism, and the discipline of sitting with ambiguity rather than resolving it too quickly. My work is less interested in arriving at answers than in tracing how people think, change, and make meaning under pressure—especially at moments when inherited narratives begin to fracture.
